The following are just a few representative examples of the over 445 unsolicited messages I've received from former students!
Marcus Geier’s Class has truly been a rewarding experience for me. The class was especially refreshing because of the energy that was given to making the learning experience one that transcends a boring textbook lecture - learning was brought to life. I have greatly benefited both academically and personally. The experience was informative and challenging, yet engaging and impacting. I appreciate having been challenged in my views concerning the world and my responsibility in effecting change.
It is evident that Marcus is sincerely committed to enriching and impacting the life of each and every student. I found his great passion for what he does to be most inspiring; he is truly exceptional in his ability to motivate. My hope is that whenever I am in a position to make a difference in someone’s life that I would demonstrate the same level of excellence and zeal that Marcus has so graciously displayed.

We are writing this letter to offer the highest compliments on our former facilitator, Mr. Marcus Geier. When we entered the Business Management program at the University of Phoenix (UOP), we had high expectations for the quality of education we would receive in this program. Many of our expectations fell short. However, others exceeded and became lasting impressions on our level of both knowledge and practical skills. Mr. Geier is a facilitator that left a long-lasting positive impression along with invaluable knowledge in the areas in which we received instruction from him; namely public relations and research and evaluation. The University of Phoenix boasts of providing facilitators who bring to the table real life experiences along with University educational guidelines. We feel that Mr. Geier went above and beyond our expectations and brought to light both practical research skills and prodding us to digging deeper for more answers. While this task was not easy by any means, we met the requirements expected of us and have since been inspired to go above this and put into practice in our own lives - the life-long learning promoted by Mr. Geier throughout his courses.
We would all like to extend our thanks to Mr. Geier and would highly recommend him in the highest regard as a preferred teaching facilitator.
Respectfully,
J.A., C.G., L.T.
Dear Mr. Geier,
Just a quick thank you for what you have taught me in class. I have enjoyed your class tremendously and have learned a lifetime of information. I truly feel you are the best teacher I have ever had. You made class interesting and I enjoyed coming to class every week to learn more. I hope this is not the only class I will have you as my teacher, because I know there is much more I can learn from you to apply as a businesswomen.
Sincerely,
M.C.M.
Mr. Geier,
I would like to express my gratitude for the information that you provided me in your courses this year. In my entire career as a student at several colleges and technical schools, as an instructor you stand out above all others. I wanted you to know what an impression you have made on my life and the lives of my classmates.
After finishing the two courses with you as the instructor, I feel that the knowledge that I acquired has changed my life tremendously. As an instructor, you gave us the opportunity to use our mind to explore and research our own lives and our futures as it pertains to the world around us. The lesson I learned during those 10 weeks was that the research of ourselves can be the most important … ever conducted.
…The attitude and approach that you take when teaching a class should be commended. You are encouraging inspiration to those you teach. …I was always astonished by the knowledge that I could receive just from one teacher.
…I now look at the world around me with different eyes. …I just want to say Thank You for all that you do and I brag on you every day to others.
Sincerely,
S.C.
To Whom It May Concern:
The research courses taught by Mr. Marcus Geier are by far the best classes I have taken in my life. Not only would I take them again, I would strongly recommend that every student take these classes. Mr. Geier uses great, real life examples to explain to his students the purpose of research. In addition to his excellent teaching methods, Mr. Geier continuously encourages his students to succeed not only in school, but in every day life. As a working adult, typical school work (i.e. writing papers, taking quizzes, listening to lectures) can sometimes be a bit boring and stressful. Mr. Geier incorporates many different interactive activities to keep his students attentive and interested throughout the course. Since I have taken the classes taught by Mr. Marcus Geier, I strongly feel that making the decision to attend the University of Phoenix was the best decision of my adult life.
Sincerely,
S.B.
Dear Professor Geier:
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you again for a very rich and relevant learning experience in the MGT 330. You made what could have been a very dry and boring learning experience into something meaningful. I am an older more mature learner and I don't come to the learning environment burdened with a lot of naive expectations. I believe you challenged us to take the materials in the class and see them in light of the real world. You reminded me personally, how important it is to understand the reality of management in government, corporations and non profit environments. We must be committed to be ethical, responsible and knowledgeable. Companies can grow, they can win and still maintain high standards that value the lives of people and the communities in which they exist. Thank you for the reminder! Good Luck in all that you do.

Marcus,
This class is one of my last three, and I felt absolutely compelled to write you this email. Not one of my instructors has facilitated conversation in the newsgroup as you are doing. I have had some pretty good instructors along the way, but I have to say nothing to this extent. It is just absolutely refreshing. I want to thank you for treating this class like it should be, a complete learning environment. My motive in telling you this is that I hope you continue to be this kind of professor because it really does make a difference in the learning experience. Kudos to you!
Regards,
C.B.
I've also received standing ovations at end of a number of courses!
